Gorgeous area that is pricing itself out - 1/20/2021
Having lived in Fort Lauderdale, Denver (college), Portland (ME), and now, Huntington (2013 to present 2021), I love this area. I grew up in Plattsburgh, NY, and desired more culture, diversity of people, greater proximity to higher education institutions, and healthcare excellence (teaching hospitals, to boot). I am not a beach person, per se, yet, love the shoreline, both south and north. The parks are gorgeous, and while fairly flat terrain, the hills of the Northshore are spectacular for running, cycling, walking, birding, blah, blah. The proximity to NYC (minus COVID-19 onslaught, eleven months ago) make it particularly appealing to those of us who adore day trips in for Broadway, MNH, restaurants, the CP.
